A plain-language summary of the standard agreement under which a business licenses its records to Enjamb Labs. The signed agreement governs where it differs.
1. What is licensed
The licensor grants Enjamb Labs a licence to a copy of its operational records for the systems and date ranges listed in the schedule: for example email, chat, tickets or cases, CRM, practice or claims management, accounting and documents. The licensor keeps every original, every system and all intellectual property. Nothing in the licence transfers ownership of anything.
2. Permitted purpose
Enjamb Labs may de-identify the records and use the de-identified result to build datasets, environments and evaluations for training and evaluating AI models, and may deliver those to licensees under agreements that prohibit re-identification, resale and redistribution. Enjamb Labs may not use the records to contact, market to or profile any person named in them, and may not deliver raw records to anyone.
3. Exclusions
The licensor may exclude specific clients, matters, mailboxes, folders, date ranges or systems, listed in an exclusions annex. Exclusions are enforced by hash before ingestion and a certificate of exclusion is provided on request. Payment card data, bank account details, credentials, and images of identity documents are excluded from every licence automatically.
4. De-identification
Enjamb Labs de-identifies the records before any delivery using the method described on the Security page: replacement of identifiers with consistent surrogates, per-entity date shifting, generalization of rare values, a k-anonymity gate and a re-identification review. Where records contain protected health information, Enjamb Labs signs a Business Associate Agreement with the licensor and de-identifies under the HIPAA Expert Determination method. The licensor receives the method document for its dataset on request.
5. Payment
A single licence fee, stated in the agreement and set after a read-only audit of the records, is paid by wire within two to four weeks of the export being completed and verified. Operating licensors may elect a renewal schedule under which updates are delivered and paid for on a cadence. Referral fees to advisers who introduce a licensor are paid by Enjamb Labs and never deducted from the licensor's fee.
6. Export and access
Exports are run with the licensor or its IT provider, using the systems' own export functions or read-only credentials issued for the purpose and revoked afterwards. Enjamb Labs does not install software on the licensor's systems and does not retain access after the export. Exports land in encrypted storage in the United States.
7. Term, retraction and termination
The licence runs for the term in the agreement. The licensor may retract specific records on notice; retracted records are removed from subsequent deliveries and listed in the change log, and Enjamb Labs requests their removal from licensees where the licensee agreement provides for it. On termination Enjamb Labs deletes raw records under the schedule in the agreement and certifies deletion. De-identified deliveries already made remain with licensees under their own terms.
8. Confidentiality and publicity
Enjamb Labs does not name the licensor to any licensee or in public without written permission. The chain of licence is disclosed to a licensee only under NDA and only to the extent needed to establish provenance. The licensor is under no obligation to disclose the licence.
